Prior to joining Parkwood, LaVonda was a senior associate attorney in the tax practice group at Thompson Hine, where she worked with corporate, partnership, and individual clients on matters relating to international, federal, and state and local tax matters, including matters related to M&A and formation of private equity funds and hedge funds. Prior to Thompson Hine, LaVonda worked for Grant Thornton serving as an international tax associate.  This broad range of experience helped her develop research and analytical skills and abroad base of federal, state and local income tax knowledge.

LaVonda earned a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Ohio Northern University in2001 and a Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2006.  LaVonda is a member of the Ohio bar.

LaVonda and her husband, Jason, reside in Avon Lake, Ohio with their two children.
